Sandemans Tours
I just wanted to share with you guys a company I discovered that gives free tours in 20 cities. I have done 4 of their tours so far and I highly recommend it. The tour guides are always informative and since it is tip based they try their best to give you a good experience. I usually give 5-10 euros per person as a tip depending on what I have on me and how well they did the tour so it is up to you and your budget!
This tour is usually the first thing I plan when I put together my itinerary when I am in Europe. When I travel I really enjoy learning about the history of the city and doing a walking tour the first or second day so I can familiarize myself with the city and learn insider tips from the guides.
I recommend to book a time slot in advance because it is very popular and I have seen them turn people away if they didn't make a reservation. You can easily book it on your phone and you will receive a confirmation email to present the day of. They will tell you where to meet and they have red umbrellas so you can easily find them. They do the tours in a few languages so be sure to see which one suits you! They also offer paid excursions such as private tours, bike tours, pub crawls (which I did in London) and shows given at a discount. Below are the links to the tours I did but I will also include the main website so you can browse all cities.
